The finish is applied where the part is formed, so the part is not re-handled in between.

Hardware is judged by how it moves after a thousand cycles, so load rating, runner selection and finish are agreed before the first batch: gauge and bend radius are chosen against the load you give us, samples run in 4-7 days, and a drawing change is quoted by the same team that will build it.
